Staying True to Our Roots

From its beginnings in 1956 when Pieter and Johanna Vos first welcomed a child with a developmental disability into their family home, Sunbeam has remained true to its roots through its commitment to supporting exceptional individuals regardless of ability and capability, and their families, in the communities we serve.

In recognition that our greatest strength is our people, we are indeed Stronger Together. 2021 – 2022 was year of progress and successes at Sunbeam, entirely due to the resiliency of our employees.

We understand the many challenges faced by the persons we support, their families, our staff and volunteers since the onset of the COVID-19 global pandemic. The positive choices of staff and the positive and often difficult decisions made by families have been critical to ensuring the ongoing safety and wellness of everyone in the Sunbeam Community.

Thank you for your commitment and support in helping us to continue serving the needs of individuals and families in new and innovative ways during a year full of great challenges and new found opportunities. We couldn’t have done it without you!
