Overnight Respite

Sunbeam’s newly renovated Children’s respite program offers caregiver relief to families of children who are medically fragile/technology dependent and/or those who may have developmental disabilities.

The home is fully staffed by a team of caring and skilled medical professionals who ensure that all children accessing overnight respite are closely monitored and given the opportunities to engage with new people in an environment outside of their home. Overnight respite provides caregivers a much needed opportunity to get away and focus on other aspects of life while taking comfort their loved ones are in caring and capable hands.

Additionally, children are given an opportunity to socialize by engaging with one another and do a variety of activities together. Additional resources may be available upon request and include; access to our therapeutic pool, an assessment by our Sunbeam Seating and Motion Clinic or receiving oral care from our “My Dental Clinic” specialized dental service.

To learn more about our respite or other services please call us at (519) 893-6200 or email respite@sunbeamcommunity.ca to register.
