Celebrating National AccessAbility Week 2026

National AccessAbility Week (May 31 – June 6, 2026) is a national celebration in Canada dedicated to promoting accessibility, inclusion, and the valuable contributions of persons with disabilities. Observed annually during the last week of May, this important week raises awareness, reduces barriers, and fosters communities where everyone can fully participate.

At Sunbeam Community & Developmental Services, we are proud to champion accessibility every day. Across the Sunbeam Community, we support individuals with developmental disabilities by providing inclusive living supports, specialized programs for medically complex needs, day programs, respite care, and autism spectrum services. We also host Developmental Services Ontario Central West Region, helping families navigate vital supports.

During National AccessAbility Week 2026, we invite the community to reflect on progress made and commit to breaking down remaining attitudinal and physical barriers. Together, we can build a more equitable future where every person thrives.
