2026 Canada Summer Jobs Program at Sunbeam

Sunbeam welcomes sixteen young people to gain diverse, meaningful work experience
This year Sunbeam has been pleased to welcome sixteen young people through the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program. The CSJ program helps young people get meaningful, paid work experience that builds the skills and confidence to succeed in the job market.

The work experience placements at Sunbeam have been diverse and meaningful, with CSJ program participants gaining work experience in a variety of positions across Sunbeam, including as an ABA Assistant, Building Operations, Accounting Assistant, Human Resources Assistant, Summer Camp Assistants for Children with Complex Needs, Day Program Assistants, and Direct Support Assistants in several Inclusive Living Homes.

Sunbeam has participated in the CSJ program for several years, and our organization and the people we support have benefited greatly from the contributions, enthusiasm and fresh ideas that the CSJ participants bring to their work experience placements each day.

A sincere thank you to the 16 CSJ program participants this year, and a special thank you to Employment and Social Development Canada for continuing to offer this valuable and enriching work experience program for young people in the community.

“Quality summer jobs help youth gain the skills, confidence and experience they need to succeed in the workforce. This investment in Canada Summer Jobs will empower 100,000 young people to explore career interests, earn income over the summer, and take important first steps toward high-paying, long-term careers. Building a stronger Canadian economy for tomorrow begins with supporting future generations today.”

– The Honourable Anna Gainey, Secretary of State (Children and Youth)
