The past few months have been busy for the Developmental Services Ontario – Central West Region Service Navigators.
The Service Navigation team has had a variety of opportunities to attend local events to network with other service agencies and to share information on the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services funded adult developmental services and support to communities across the Central West Region.
On March 21st Service Navigator Sarah Downie (Peel & Dufferin) attended and participated in the Dufferin Community Resource Fair in Orangeville. This event had 65 people in attendance and 24 vendors. On April 18th Service Navigators Jessica Pearson (Waterloo) and Paeton Findley (Wellington) attended and participated in The Wellington Community Resource Fair in Guelph.
This event had 89 in attendance and 43 vendors. Both events were a great opportunity for individuals preparing to transition out of high school to learn about available services in their communities.
