Connecting Communities: Highlights from DSO Central West Region’s Outreach Efforts

The past few months have been busy for the Developmental Services Ontario – Central West Region DSO Team. DSO staff have had a variety of opportunities to attend local events to network with other service agencies and to share information on Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services funded adult developmental services and supports to communities across Central West Region.

In September Service Navigators Paeton Findley and Stephanie Sabia attended and participated in the Synergy Kids Resource fair in Oakville and Service Navigators Sarah Downie (Peel and Dufferin) and Paeton Findley (Halton and Wellington) attended and participated in the Peel Newcomer Strategy group forum in Oakville.

In the month of October, Service Navigator Sarah Downie and Intake Coordinators Cheri Evans and Jennifer Blacker (Peel and Dufferin) attended the Transitional Advisory Committee Fair in Brampton.

In the month of November Service Navigators Jessica Pearson (Waterloo) and Sarah Downie (Peel and Dufferin) attended and participated in the 12th Annual Health and Wellness Accessibility fair in Brampton.

Participation in these events provided an opportunity for individuals and agencies to learn more about services in their community and how to connect with DSO.
