The Canada Disability Benefit (CDB) is an upcoming federal benefit for low-income Canadians with disabilities. The CDB was established to reduce poverty and improve the financial security of eligible individuals.

The Canada Disability Benefit (CDB) is an upcoming federal benefit for people ages 19 to 64, who are living with a disability and are currently approved for the Disability Tax Credit, and who have filed their income tax return for the previous tax year.

  • The maximum benefit available through the CDB is $200 per month, or up to $2,400 per year.
  • Applications open for the CDB in June 2025, and payments will begin as early as July 2025.
