Meet Darrel!

Despite the challenges of this major transition, Darrel successfully secured temporary housing with Sunbeam’s guidance. He was also connected to a Day Program, where he quickly formed friendships and built meaningful connections within the community. Known for his friendly, easygoing nature, Darrel enjoys board games, music, movies, and spending time socializing with others.

More recently, Darrel has been accepted into a group home and is preparing for his upcoming move. He looks forward to developing new life skills and thriving in the stability and support this arrangement will offer.

When reflecting on his journey with Sunbeam, Darrel highlights the kindness and unwavering support of his coordinators as his most memorable experience—particularly their dedicated help in securing his group home placement.
