September is Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Awareness Month

At Sunbeam Community & Developmental Services, we honour the individuals and families living with FASD. This lifelong disability results from prenatal alcohol exposure and can affect learning, behaviour, and daily living—yet every person has unique strengths, passions, and potential.

Through our Developmental Resource Centre, we offer FASD coordination, resources, education, and family supports across Waterloo Region and beyond. Our goal is to help children, youth, and caregivers thrive while reducing stigma and promoting understanding.

Join us this September in raising awareness, supporting alcohol-free pregnancies, and building inclusive communities where people of all abilities are valued.
