Candidates’ Debate on Disability Issues in the Ontario General Election

On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 7:30 to 9 PM EST, a candidates’ debate on disability issues for the Ontario Election will be held at the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto. Live attendance welcome. It will also be streamed live on the internet and will be hosted by Global News journalist Isaac Callan.

This event is being organized by a consortium of disability organizations: Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act Alliance, ARCH Disability Law Centre, Canadian Centre for Caregiving Excellence, Centre for Independent Living in Toronto, CNIB, Community Living Ontario, Community Living Toronto, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, OASIS, Autism Ontario, Ontario Autism Coalition, and Reena.

This is a non-partisan event. We want voters to know where the parties stand on issues that are important to people with disabilities, their families and loved ones.

The Conservatives, NDP, Green Party and Liberals have all been invited to designate a candidate to represent their party, in person.

Please note, Holland Bloorview is fully accessible. Light refreshments will be available. Attendant care, live captioning and American Sign Language interpretation will also be available. There is paid on-site parking.

To register and submit your question for candidates and any accommodations you may require, click here to reserve a spot on Eventbright.
