Meet Linda!

Linda’s journey at Sunbeam is centred around music, connection and living by the philosophy that appreciating the little things contributes to a good life.

Since joining the Sunbeam team in 2017, Linda has been living with her two housemates for seven years now. A regular attendee of the day program, Linda has found enjoyment in connection.

While she enjoys all of the activities, some of Linda’s favourite events in the day program are the musical performances by Ryan Major, Emily, and Julia.

“Music brings me joy,” Linda shares. Surrounding herself with music, Linda takes part in Buddy Choir once a week, where she has made some incredible friends. One of Linda’s biggest aspirations is to let her singing voice be heard by the masses at one of the Buddy Choir musicals.

Staying on the theme of music, one of Linda’s most cherished memories is attending a Zachary Stevenson concert where she rocked out to Buddy Holly cover songs.

Whether it is long walks when the weather is nice, going to the beach, playing with beads or chatting with Sunbeam staff, Linda surrounds herself with happy experiences.

Last year, Linda took a vacation with Sunbeam staff along with a roommate to a cottage where she had a blast around the campfire roasting marshmallows.

Throughout the year, you can find Linda simply being Linda. From everyday activities to singing or listening to music, there is never a dull moment in Linda’s life, and that’s something she wouldn’t trade for the world!
