Meet Sunbeam’s Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) Coordinator, Harrison!

Harrison is a Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) Coordinator at Sunbeam Community and Developmental Services. A role he began in 2024, Harrison works closely with a team of coordinators to support individuals in the Central West Region who have been involved with a Children’s Aid Society, are diagnosed with developmental disability, and are now receiving residential supports as adults.

Harrison enjoys building connections with the individuals they support and collaborating with agencies and care providers to ensure all clients receive adequate support. The role requires active involvement in all aspects of case management and adaptability to the ever-evolving developmental services sector. Sunbeam is a leader in the field and continues to expand the scope of services offered, and Harrison values the diverse experiences and expertise his colleagues bring, fostering a collaborative approach to their work and providing valuable learning opportunities.

He is passionate about the connection between physical and emotional health and wellness and is actively involved in a variety of social and recreational events across Ontario that promote physical activity and community building initiatives. One of his favorite memories was flipping pancakes side by side with Sunbeam’s CEO, Brian Swainson, at the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival, a community event Sunbeam supports annually.

Harrison is grateful to serve in this role alongside a dedicated leadership team that works tirelessly to uplift the individuals they support and is looking forward to seeing everyone at the Elmira event on April 5th!
