Sunbeam was well represented by our Human Resources representatives Christina Nadarajah and Lauren Johnston at the Job fair organized by Conestoga College. It was an opportunity for Sunbeam to access a diverse talent pool instantly and tell Sunbeam’s story at the same time.

Sunbeam Developmental resource Centre, Spring 2023 is published.

At Sunbeam we believe in equity, inclusion and allyship. We recognize and support the rights of people with Down Syndrome. On March 21 we joined our voices with all the other voices raised around the globe to create a single amplified voice and advocate for the inclusion and well-being of people with Down Syndrome.

The Board of Directors of Sunbeam Community & Developmental Services plays a critical role in
creating an organization committed to the issues of anti-racism, equity, diversity, and inclusion.With this
is mind, we are recruiting for several volunteer community committee members.

The Ontario Government made temporary changes to the Passport program to help recipients while community-based activities and settings may have been closed or offered reduced services due to COVID-19. These changes came into effect on April 1, 2020, and will no longer be in effect as of March 31, 2023.

The Shout Out contest started in 2022 as a way for Sunbeam Staff to celebrate and honour their coworkers and all the big and little things that we do to uphold Sunbeam’s mission, vision, and values. The contest started as an opportunity to encourage each other and feature on the many staff who inspire others in their daily activities.

Love is a basic human emotion. There are so many shades of this emotion and all of them are beautiful.

Through the Community Volunteer Income Tax program, community organizations host free tax clinics where volunteers file tax returns for eligible people.

On May 4th, 2023 Sunbeam Developmental Resource Centre is conducting a virtual information  session on available financial supports and eligibility criteria for families who have a child diagnosed with autism and /or intellectual disability.
